This Privacy Policy explains how Calypso (“Calypso”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you use our websites (including hellocalypso.com) and our products (including Calypso Console).

We collect information to operate Calypso, provide support, secure the service, and improve product quality. Depending on how you use Calypso, we may collect:

  • Account information: email address, display name, avatar, authentication identifiers (e.g. GitHub user id).
  • Billing information: subscription status, plan, Stripe customer/subscription ids. Payment card data is processed by Stripe and is not stored by Calypso.
  • Usage and telemetry: feature usage, activity events, error logs, and performance metrics.
  • Project/repository metadata: repository names, ids, and import status when you connect GitHub.
  • Content you provide: prompts, messages, or other inputs you send through Calypso.
  • Device and browser information: IP address, user agent, and related request metadata.

How we use information

  • Provide and operate the service, including authentication and billing.
  • Secure Calypso, prevent abuse, and investigate suspicious activity.
  • Provide support and respond to requests.
  • Improve performance, reliability, and product features.
  • Send transactional emails (e.g. account or subscription notices).
  • Send marketing communications where permitted by your preferences or applicable law.

Sharing

We share information only as needed to run Calypso:

  • Service providers that help us operate the product (e.g. hosting, email delivery, payments, logging).
  • Payment processing via Stripe for checkout and subscription management.
  • Compliance and legal when we believe disclosure is required by law or necessary to protect Calypso, our users, or the public.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for “cross-context behavioral advertising” in a manner that would be considered a “sale” under certain privacy laws.

Cookies and similar technologies

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including access controls and secure transport (TLS). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

Calypso is not directed to children and is intended for business and developer use.
